In a few words
The Manx Heart Foundation has been an Isle of Man Registered Charity (n°293) since 2008 but has been active on the Island for many years prior to that. We were formerly named the British Heart Foundation Isle of Man but took the view that as ALL our fundraising STAYS on the Isle of Man, our name should reflect that. So - we are now proudly the MANX HEART FOUNDATION.
Despite, the name change, our mission has always been to help enable the best cardiac care possible for the Manx residents through fundraising enabling us to purchase vital cardiac equipment for Nobles Hospital and beyond.
We are proud to have His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer and Lady Lorimer as Manx Heart Foundation’s Joint Patrons.
Our small group of trustees is committed to a variety of fund raising activities.
Our mission
We aim to:
1. Advance the fight against disease of the heart in the Isle of Man so that it is no longer the major cause of disability and premature death; for the benefit of the public of the Isle of Man at large.
2. Promote the health and well being of sufferers from heart disease in the Isle of Man through the provision of financial assistance, equipment, trained staff, practical advice and by all other methods which the Charity shall from time to time decide upon.
